The evening begins with a guided Full Moon Meditation led by Luz Brand-Lopez, inviting you to ground your energy, quiet the mind, and connect with your inner wisdom. Together, we’ll explore the energy of the Full Moon and prepare our hearts for a meaningful evening of transformation. Jamie Horrell will guide us through a powerful interactive Tarot experience, helping each participant connect with the wisdom of the cards through reflection and journaling. Individual tarot readings with Jamie will also be available beginning at 11:30 am and throughout the day. As the evening unfolds, we’ll gather for a Sacred Fire Ceremony, where you’ll be invited to write down what you’re ready to release and offer your intentions to the flames alongside a selection of sacred herbs. Fire has long symbolized purification and transformation, allowing us to honor the past while making space for what is yet to come. We’re honored to welcome Cynthia Corro of Lunniaya, who will accompany the ceremony with the heartbeat of her ceremonial drum. Her rhythmic drumming will help guide us into deeper presence, grounding the experience as we move through meditation, ritual, and release. To close our evening, we’ll share an Intention Ceremony, creating space to consciously welcome the energy, opportunities, and blessings we wish to invite into our lives during the next lunar cycle. You’ll leave with a personal intention to nurture until the New Moon. Intro to Tarot Card Reading What is tarot? How does it differ from other divination systems and oracles cards? In this two hours class we will discuss what tarot is and isn’t, as well as go over the framework that makes tarot cards unique — the Major Arcana and the four suits of the Minor Arcana, along with discussing the effective use of spreads. All are welcome no matter the length of your relationship with the cards. PLEASE NOTE: A deck of tarot cards will be needed, but please bring a deck if you have it. Tutor: Mary Mannix – Historian & Tarot Educator Mary Mannix is a professionally trained historian and archivist with degrees from Hood College, the University of Delaware, and the University of Maryland. She is widely known as the manager of the Maryland Room at the C. Burr Artz Public Library in Frederick, where she helps the community explore local history and genealogy.
